Alright. So I have decided to re-explore this space once again. Its just that when one gets busy, such technologies are not fanciful or rather should I say appealing anymore. That's what I felt first. But slowly I tend to realise that, in a way its kinda good. Currently, the world is taken aback by the sudden epidemic that has spread so quickly over many countries. Known as the H1N1, it is also commonly known as the swine flu or swine influenza. Let's have a look on what this swine flu is about.

"Swine influenza (also called swine flu, pigfluenza, hog flu, and pig flu) refers to influenza caused by those strains of influenza virus that usually infect pigs and are called swine influenza virus (SIV). Swine influenza is common in pigs in the midwestern United States (and occasionally in other states), Mexico, Canada, South America, Europe (including the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Italy), Kenya, Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan and other parts of eastern Asia."

Such a serious health issue reminds me of the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) series that struck the world 6 years ago, if I can clearly remember. At that point of time, all schools were closed. Businesses and tourism was affected. Economy was not fairing well too. Lots of health precautions were taken and cleanliness and hygiene was emphasised over and over again.

I pray hard that such a situation does not repeat down here.

This is a personal declaration. I think right now, I have one of the most inactive blogs around. Well, these are some effects of working too much. While in school, half my time was spent on my laptop. With my laptop, it was mandatory to myself to login to MSN. Nowadays, going online and even switching on the laptop has become a chore for me. Please do not mistaken here. Its definitely not L-A-Z-Y BUT out of being deadbeat and shagged. Such a description is going to give everyone the idea that I am being a no-lifer. SO WHAT! Haha! That sounds so defensive.

I do have my share of my own life. Just that, it has not been very public. Past few days, I have been bumping into many people. I should say its good in a way, as memories with the person are once again are refreshed. But not so good in a way, as (let me keep my reasonings with myself).

And at times, I also get bombarded with questions about my future plans. Yes, I know I have to plan something. But those who ask me that question only get one answer, there is still time. All other things that are being said to me after that is like telling a deaf person. I don't understand something. When I am not feeling rushed, why do others feel so?

Sad to start with, that my blog has been ignored for pretty sometime. All due to, BUSY SCHEDULES! I also realise that I have been missing a lot of things lately. Once again, due to BUSY SCHEDULES! Oh man! This sounds so no life. HAHA!

Lately, I have been working, too hard I suppose. That is good in a way and also not good in the other way. Of course, I have always enjoyed what I have been doing. But too much of enjoyment will also bore you off one day. Therefore, a break is always needed from whatever you do. This triggers my thoughts and mind that I need a holiday getaway. Somewhere far away from this, fast-paced and busy life. Looks like the time is just not here for that.

I almost forgot about something very important. I am finally...GRADUATING! I know this is like super outdated. Still, it is going to happen. Real soon. ;)

STORY OF JAGA SINGH

This story tell us not to be 'too kind' to our bosses!

There's this Jaga Singh who was working for a multi-millionare as a night guard at his house.

One day, while the millionaire was driving out to catchan early morning flight to conclude a business deal, Jaga Singh ranout from the guard house and stopped the millionaire' s car just rightin front of the gate.

He said 'Sir..Sir.. are you going to board a plane?' 'Yes, why?'asked the millionaire. 'You had better cancel the trip. You see, last night I dreamt about the plane going to crash.'Curious over the early morning fright that Jaga Singh had given, the multi-millionaire decided to cancel his trip. 'You better be damn rightfor this is a million dollar deal.

The following day, there were news reports that the plane which the millionaire was supposed to take had indeed crash landed.

Thank God!I cancelled the trip,.' the rich man said.

Realising that what Jaga Singh had said had come true, he called the Singh to see him.When the guard was called that morning, the millionaire gave him his salary and FIRED him.

Since school has be out, the only things that I have bee doing is going out, going to shop or either staying at home. Besides these, nothing else. Just realised that its been so long since I have relaxed like this. Well, since I am done with studying, I have to start looking into new avenues to keep myself more occupied. I am definitely not the kind of person to waste time. Though at times, I do feel like slacking. :) Right now, nothing seems to be bright out there. Looking out for job during such times is really a bad idea. I hope the situation will be able to change soon. :)

On the 23rd January 2009, everything was concluded. The journey has come to an end. I can’t believe that 3 years has pass by so fast. No more meetings, GMs, duties and events. I must say that being part of the NYP Ambassadorial Team has been one of the best things in my poly life. I have learnt many things and gained many experiences down here. I am not just talking about good ones. No matter what, life has to go on. Memories of my times spent here would be very close to my heart. The great people whom I have met here, you will always be remembered. To the people I have worked with, thank you for the working experiences. To all my ambassadors, goodbye! I am like slightly bored at the moment. I have finished my work for the night (more of a morning) and I can’t sleep now as I would definitely not be able to wake up later for my daily routine. School is getting busier now. The usual projects, late nights (sometimes extending to overnights), black eyed and all other not-so-good things that happen during this period of time called, PROJECTS! Well, this time I do not have much of a complaint as I already prepared myself for the worst. Furthermore, this is the last time that I have to go through these things. I rather enjoy the “feeling of torture” which I will never get to experience again. And today, I had the first goodbye already. That was for International Business. Though it is sad to see all these things happening (I am not emo-ing here), in the end, my excitement for school to end offsets all these sadness (once again, nope.I am not).

Today, was the last General Meeting (GM) held before the next Installation Ceremony. This also indicates that this is also the last one for all graduating ambassadors of the Ambassadorial Team. The Ambassadorial Team (A-Team) has been a very good platform for me to identify many things about myself and about the things around me. I made many friends down here. Many good memories and lots of fun! But that does not mean, we have not seen the bad side as well. Good always comes along with bad too.

In this GM, the new 15th Executive Committee was released. Personally, I am extremely happy for some. They deserved it as they have proven so. For the other hand, I am not. I am not very sure how come they are promoted as senior ambassadors/junior ambassadors/excos. All in all, like what one of the promoted said, "we will bring A-Team to better heights" I would just like to wish the 15th Executive Committee in doing so.

Looks like history always repeats itself. Some people being unhappy of not appreciated of their efforts and all. The feeling is truly understandable. At this point of time, their minds are so temperamental that they will just say anything that comes to their mind. Some even thinking about quitting. At this point of time, the promoted should come in and make sure that they do not do so. No such thing has been done before. But I feel that now, they should do so. If not, they are going to lose a lot of good and talented people. And once they are gone, they do not return. Therefore, the most important thing that the promoted should do is that, APPRECIATE their members, regardless of the role size that they play.

Well, this "maadu" friend of mine, just tied the knot in New Zealand on the 14th December 2008. I just got on hold of his wedding videos and photos today. I must say that his wedding held, was one of its kind. "Vee, you just did something proper in your life right now!" The couple had a bungee jumping-styled wedding. Oh man! I must say that it was simply awesome. Just having a look having them jump in the video, is already thrilling. Right now, I have decided. In my lifetime, I would have to definitely try bungee jumping, something which gives you the out of the world feeling!

Mind urged people not to make resolutions focusing on physical imperfections -- such as attempting to lose weight -- because they create a negative self image and lead to feelings of low self-esteem, hopelessness and even mild depression.
And when such optimistic resolutions fail, that could spark feelings of inadequacy and failure, the charity warned.

It is just an hour more for the new year to come in. Just a re-collection of the past year.

I must say that, honestly, the year 2008, was of ups and downs, in most aspects. Nevertheless,I believe that we should be happy for all the good things and learn from your bad experiences. Talking of thyself, I think I have become more realistic about certain things and have matured (of course! by hitting my big 2!) in this year. Some things did happen, expectedly and unexpectedly. Not to forget, I have also become so much darker than what I used to be. In the end, life goes on as all these are part and parcel of life and growing up. This will also be my last post for the year. Till then, to those out there wh are making resolutions, all the best in achieveing them. Banta Singh walks into a bar in London, orders 3 glasses of beer and sits in the backyard of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in turn.

When he finishes,he comes back to the bar counter and orders 3 more. The bartender asks him, "You know, beer goes flat after I fill it in the glass; it would taste better if you buy one at a time."

When he comes back to the bar for the second round, the bar tender says,"I don't want to intrude on your grief, but I wanted to offer my sincere condolences on your great loss."

Banta Singh looked confused for a moment, and then he laughs...."Oh, no," He said, "Everyone's fine; both my brothers are alive. The only thing is...

I just quit drinking!!!"

Past week has been a blast, filled with movies. I am back to this addiction, AGAIN! Its been so long since I last saw a movie in a cinema. But now, I am glad that once again, I got the chance.

Well, after nearly a year, its another SRK blockbuster that is a blockbuster hit. Yet another newcomer. But I have to agree that she is very talented compared to Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om. It is a beautiful love story depicted in a very interesting manner to convey the message that there can be extraordinary love story in an ordinary couple. I just have two words to describe the movie, simply beautiful. To those Bollywood fans out there, this is definitely one movie that you should not miss out!

RAB NE BANADI JODI

Next one which I watched has been a must awaited by many people. If you are an avid bookworm, I am sure that you must have read the book by now. I was not really keen to watch the movie. But, I must say that in the end, after watching the movie, my whole impression about TWILIGHT just changed. It is yet another love story which is not very realistic in this world. But the manner in which the movie was pictured was awesome. There was not a single pinch of the movie that was boring. Heard that it has a series of books. I am waiting for the next one that will be coming out next year. Oh. And I must say that ROBERT PATTINSON looks HOT!

Currently, I am having holidays. Or should I say more of a project week. Well, whatever you may call it, I had time for A-TEAM again after so long. I totally missed doing duties. Today was an informal one. It was Chinese Orchestra 2008. This was also the first and last informal duty for the year. AND, this was also the LAST A-TEAM DUTY for me. Truly, I have enjoyed doing each and every duty during my A-TEAM days. But like everyone else say, I would also say this: LIFE HAS TO GO ON!

I just had my NAPFA test yesterday. Surprisingly, I got a bronze in that. Not too bad for some who has not been exercising for the past few years.So during the 2.4km run, he finished the run in about 9 minutes. :) Whereas, mine was in about 16 minutes. Not too bad I should say.

After more than a month, I finally got to talk with my dear friend, Parvin Yossuff (see, i spelt your full name correctly). It was great to have talked to her again as I badly missed her. Well, our friend just came back from L-O-N-G trip. And if you are wondering where she went, look at the map below.

She doesn't fail to share with me her stories and experience, each time she travels around. And me, the more I listen to her, the more I feel like travelling as well. I feel that when you get the opportunity to do something, grab and get it done. Because, it puts a paid to the saying that

Sleep Deprivation: a general lack of the necessary amount of sleep.

I think I have been suffering from this lately. This also used to be the problem before. Holidays was a good period to catch up with all the lost sleep. Now back to school and of course, back to my shop again, history repeats itself, again.

With such lack of sleep, it does not only makes you worn out, it also makes you mentally tired. When it makes you mentally tired, it also tires your brain. When your brain is tired, you cannot think properly. When you cannot think properly, you're not able to put your 100% in anything. Therefore, I think that time management and all would not be much of a help here. Instead, you should have good sleep management.

The following are some sleep management techniques as advised by medical professionals:

Make sure that you stop doing mentally demanding work several hours before coming to bed – give your brain time to calm down before you try to sleep.
Try reading a calming, undemanding book for a few minutes, again to relax your body, tire your eyes and help you forget about the things that are worrying you.
Write persistent thoughts and worries down in a notebook and then put them out of your mind. Review the notebook in the morning and take action if appropriate.
Keep the same bedtime. Let your body and mind get used to a predictable routine.
Cut back on caffeine and alcohol. Some people find that they sleep badly if they drink coffee or cola after 4pm. Others find that if they drink alcohol to excess, they wake up in the middle of the night and cannot get back to sleep.

If you think you have the same problem as me, do try out the abovementioned techniques.

Finally! It was great to have met up with my bestie once again. And this time not just her. Added to the fun was Mages, Vini and Ruben! I am glad that they enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Ruben as well for his crazy jokes. But on a particular part, Mages, Vini and I enjoyed ourselves. HAHA! And I guiltily (if there is such a word ever) declare that this is my second time that I have shisha-ed in a week. Oh well!

Keeping all the fun part aside, its back to reality. ICA week ahead. On top of that many more activities that are also coming up. December's going to be exteremley busy. Nevertheless, I am still going to enjoy myself for whatever is coming up. =D To all my mates having ICAs, all the best!

Today was back to school after two and a half months. Pretty long break I should say. Maybe that is the reason why everything (in fact, almost everyone) looked alien to me. It was great to see everyone again after such a long time. Yes, this also reminds that this is also going to be the FINAL SEMESTER of the FINAL YEAR!

Today's incident put a paid to my belief that good samaritans still exist. I have a habit (i'm not sure whether it is good or bad) to slot my phone at the side of my bag. So when I was waiting for the train, a lady came up to me and said, "Excuse me, please don't put your phone like that because I lost mine like that as well." I think she was not obliged to let me know that, nevertheless she still took the effort to tell me of her experience so that it does not happen to the rest as well.

An history was about to be created.
The first ever night race in the history of Formula One and that happened in Singapore.

Indeed,it created history. Not just as the first ever night race, but as one of the most unforgettable races as well. Many were shocked. Many were disappointed. Many were also glad. An event of mixed emotions for all.
Personally, I was pretty disappointed with the race, in particular with the race results.

FERRARI

One of renowned teams of Formula One.It had great Formula One drivers such Michael Schumacher under is team. It had a lot of hope on Felipe Massa and Kimi-Matias Räikkönen. Extremely disappointing incidents took place with these drivers, especilayy with Felipe Massa. He was only a point away from Lewis Hamiltion to be leading in the series.

MERCEDES-MCLAREN

Lewis Hamilton was the name here. Just being 23 years of age, he has such great talent. I am pretty sure that there might not be anyone who would disagree with me. However, this upcoming talent who was leading the series (he still does though) did not perform up to expectations. Though he finished it third, I still feel that he could have done much better, as he is capable of doing so.

ING RENAULT TEAM

Personally, I am not very familiar with this team. But I guess, Fernando Alonso Díaz has made it famous over the weekend. I am very happy for this chap. To have progressed from a total discouraged person to have triumphed the race. This is a very good example of the saying,

NEVER GIVE UP!

Formula One has not been just a sports event. Instead, if you look at it in a different perspective, there a lot of things that you can learn, especially lessons of life. Well, I have learned from it. And I am definitely looking forward to the next Formula One race in Singapore, of course, to catch the race! =D
